Job Title and Company Name (or Brand):

CEO & Founder Currency Shift, LLC
BrittanyHardin_3.jpg

I've been in this position for this many years:

9 months

I've been in this industry for this many years:

9 years

Do you consider yourself an influencer? If yes, why?

Not yet, but building to intentionally influence others to think BIG and do BIG things with their social currency

The most surprising thing I've learned about being a professional in this field is:

Fully knowing and accepting who you are allows for better authenticity which opens more doors for you.

How did you even get started in this industry or line of work?

I have always had my hand in media and sales. I follow the industry as a whole and decided that now is time to fully jump in. Podcasting made the most sense to me when it came to scalability and sustainable growth. I decided to just do it. Start a company that produces content and events people can benefit from.

My colleagues and counterparts would be surprised or perhaps flabbergasted if they knew that I:

I enjoy watching PBR, Professional Bull Ridding from time to time or I have a Banjo in my closet...:)

10 Years ago I was:

An ambitious 22 year old that wanted to be CEO of Time Warner Cable (now spectrum) in order to control how diversity was represented in the media. #takeoverforculture

I legit swore at the age of 10 that I was going to grow up to be:

Like my mom, but she told me to aim higher and to be better than her- Better than Oprah. Since then, that's been my mindset: BTO

What inspires you?

Knowing how far I've come and the possibilities of how far I can go.

How do you inspire people?

I never speak above someone's head. I meet them where they are and help them understand the importance of growth and leveling up.

To calm me down when I'm pissed off I listen to

Depends on how pissed I am: Mia X, her Mama Drama album or DJ Funk's 'Every Fuk'n Day' song or Missy Elliott's Supa Dupa Fly album
