Koran Edwards, formally known as DJ Blackout, is a talented disc jockey with a mission to shift the culture of music through his live sets, musical selection, fire mixes, and crowd control. Born and raised in Bed-Stuy, Brooklyn, his education of understanding music began at home when his mother allowed him the power of selecting the songs they listened to while she cleaned. DJ Blackout has performed for brands such as Aldo, Gap, Kicks USA and Uniqlo to list a few. He has opened for reggae artist, Konshens at NYU, Fabolous, and Wale Howard Homecoming events as well as Love and Hip Hop’s Safaree and Cardi B. In 2016, DJ Blackout launched Blacklisted, an entertainment conglomerate that consists of different DJ’s who are passionate about the craft of deejaying. Blacklisted has hosted several successful events and toured as a collective.
